Weiss, Rockies win replay challenge

DENVER -- The Rockies got a reprieve in the second inning when a call at first base was overturned by an instant-replay challenge.

With two out in the inning and the Rockies leading, 2-0, DJ LeMahieu hit a bouncer to Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre, whose high throw caused first baseman Prince Fielder to leap and attempt to tag LeMahieu.

LeMahieu ducked under Fielder and touched first base with his left hand. First-base umpire Kerwin Danley ruled LeMahieu out before Rockies manager Walt Weiss issued a challenge.

The play was overturned. However, pitcher Jordan Lyles struck out to end the inning.
