Team to watch
Few Minor League teams will have a more fearsome heart of a batting order than the Double-A Frisco RoughRiders, who will be powered by third baseman Joey Gallo, catcher Jorge Alfaro and outfielders Nomar Mazara and Nick Williams. Right-hander Jake Thompson gives Frisco a Top 100 Prospect on the mound, and left-hander Andrew Faulkner and righties Jerad Eickhoff and Alec Asher also rank among the best arms in the system.

New faces
The Rangers drafted right-hander Anthony Ranaudo out of high school in 2007 but didn't get him until they traded Robbie Ross to the Red Sox in January. He's now with the Triple-A Round Rock Express and should surface in Arlington later this year. Speedy outfielder Delino DeShields Jr. is already with the big league club after sticking as a Rule 5 pick from the Astros.

On the shelf
Gallo has as much raw power as anyone in baseball, but he won't get to unleash it until the end of the month. He's recovering from April 3 surgery to remove a small bone from his left heel.
