White Sox Announce Upcoming Homestand Activities

WHAT: Chicago White Sox promotional highlights, giveaways and ceremonial first pitches for series vs. Minnesota and Cleveland. Tickets are available at whitesox.com, the U.S. Cellular Field ticket office and all Ticketmaster locations.

The games on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday will be televised on Comcast SportsNet Chicago. Tuesday's game will be televised on WCIU-TV, while WGN-TV will air the game on Saturday. All six games will be broadcast on WSCR-AM 670 (The Score), the White Sox flagship radio station, and 97.5 FM ESPN Deportes, the White Sox Spanish-language radio affiliate.

Ceremonial first pitch by Nina Chantele
Nina Chantele, co-host of Chicago's WGCI-FM's popular morning show "The Morning Riot" and midday personality on KISS-FM, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.

Westview Hills Middle School Band from Willowbrook (Ill.) will perform the National Anthem.

Wednesday, May 23, 7:10 p.m. vs. Minnesota
Dog Day presented by Hill's Pet Nutrition
National Anthem by Andrew Sons
Ceremonial first pitch by Salute, Inc.
A military veteran from Salute, Inc., a nonprofit organization assisting veterans and their families, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.

Andrew Sons from Homewood (Ill.) will perform the National Anthem.

In celebration of Dog Day, fans have the opportunity to bring their preregistered dogs to the ballpark. Designated Dog Day sections will be available at U.S. Cellular Field. A second Dog Day is scheduled for September 26.

Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy and members of the Chicago Police Department will be honored as the "Heroes of the Game," during a special in-game tribute. The White Sox also will host McCarthy and the police officers on-field during batting practice before the game.

Ceremonial first pitch by Bob McMillen, Chicago Rush Head Coach
Bob McMillen, head coach of Arena Football League's Chicago Rush, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.

Saint Jerome's Parish Children's Choir from Chicago's Bridgeport neighborhood will perform the National Anthem.

The first annual White Sox Sports and Marketing Career Fair provides the opportunity to learn about careers in the sports and marketing industries and network with representatives from several Chicago teams and corporations, including the White Sox, Bears, Bulls, Fire, Wolves, Sky and more. Ceremonial first pitch by Melissa McGurren
Melissa McGurren, traffic reporter on the "Eric & Kathy Show" on 101.9 FM the Mix and native of Portage (Ind.), will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.

The Twelve Tenors from Dublin, Ireland, are scheduled to perform an acoustic set on-field before the National Anthem.

After the game, fans will enjoy a spectacular fireworks show, courtesy of BP.

Saturday, May 26, 3:10 p.m. vs. Cleveland
Robin Ventura Bobblehead for first 20,000 fans, presented by Pepsi Max
National Anthem by Bob Saget
Ceremonial first pitch by Sean Rash, Professional Bowlers Association
Sean Rash, champion of five Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tours and native of Montgomery (Ill.), will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.

Bob Saget, comedian and former Broadway performer, will sing the National Anthem.

The first 20,000 fans in attendance will receive a Robin Ventura Bobblehead, presented by Pepsi Max.

Sunday, May 27, 1:10 p.m. vs. Cleveland
Kids Day, Sox Expo
National Anthem by 13-year-old Alexia Chibucos
1972 Throwback Sunday
Alexia Chibucos, a 13-year-old from Palos Park (Ill.), will perform the National Anthem.

Sunday marks the second Kids Day of the season, with a special emphasis on health and fitness. Tickets are available for $1 for kids 13 and under, with a fully paid adult, at the U.S. Cellular Field ticket window on the day of the game (subject to availability). Activities include Football Toss, Kick On Goal, Shoot the Puck and Pop-a-Shot for prizes on the Comcast Fundamentals Deck. Other special entertainment includes face painters, balloonists and a caricature artist. Kids also will have the opportunity to run the bases after the game (weather permitting).

In honor of Memorial Day, there will be a special pregame ceremony honoring the men and women of the armed forces and their families.

The game also marks the fourth throwback Sunday, where the White Sox wear red pinstriped throwback uniforms and red Sox caps, commemorating the 40th anniversary of the 1972 White Sox team. The White Sox will wear the throwback uniforms during every Sunday home game this season.
