White Sox announce upcoming series activities

WHAT: Chicago White Sox promotional highlights, giveaways and ceremonial first pitches for this week's series vs. Kansas City.  Tickets are available at whitesox.com, the U.S. Cellular Field ticket office and all Ticketmaster locations.
 
The game on Monday will be televised on WCIU-TV, while Comcast SportsNet Chicago will broadcast the games on Tuesday and Wednesday.  All three games will air on WSCR-AM 670 (The Score), the White Sox flagship radio station, and 97.5 FM ESPN Deportes, the White Sox Spanish-language radio affiliate.  
 
Fans attending games during the week can participate in a number of unique fundraising activities for White Sox Charities Week.  There also are four community outreach events scheduled for Charities Week featuring White Sox players and coaches.

National Anthem by Ailyn Pérez

Ailyn Pérez, opera singer and 2012 Richard Tucker Award winner from Chicago, will perform the National Anthem.  She will be appearing in Ravinia Festival's production of The Magic Flute with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra later this month.
 
Monday night's game is a Value Monday, where most tickets are half-priced.

Big Ten Night
National Anthem by Michael David Hall
Ceremonial first pitch by Benjamin Paolillo, Purdue Club of Chicago

Benjamin Paolillo, member of the Purdue Club of Chicago, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.
 
Michael David Hall, lead singer of South Jordan and Indiana University graduate from the Chicago area, will perform the National Anthem.
 
In celebration of Big Ten Night, Tom Hanks' son Chet Haze, a Northwestern graduate, and Chris Slone, a finalist on Chicago's Talent Search, Illinois, will perform outside Gate 4 before the game.  South Jordan, a group of four Indiana University graduates, will perform outside Gate 5 before the game.  
 
The cast and creators of Disney Channel's hit animated series "Phineas and Ferb" will be interviewed on-field during pre-game ceremonies and available for autographs in section 158 for 45 minutes following the start of the game.

White Sox Drawstring Bag for first 20,000 fans, presented by Underwriters Laboratories
National Anthem by Brad Grossman

 
Brad Grossman, Palatine Deputy Police Chief, will perform the National Anthem.
 
The first 20,000 fans in attendance will receive a White Sox Drawstring Bag, courtesy of Underwriters Laboratories.
 
In celebration of Police & Fire Night, Pipes and Drums of the Chicago Police Department will perform before the game outside Gate 4.
