Ventura expects emotional return for Pierzynski, Rios

KANSAS CITY -- A.J. Pierzynski and Alex Rios will return to U.S. Cellular Field as members of the Rangers on Friday night, and White Sox manager Robin Ventura expects it will be an emotional experience for both of those ex-White Sox players.

"It will be odd for them," Ventura said.

Ventura vividly recalls his own experience in returning to U.S. Cellular Field as a visiting player after his long tenure with the White Sox.

"You come into the stadium having done it for years and it feels natural," Ventura said. "All of a sudden, you keep walking around to the [visitors'] side. It's different."
