White Sox option Jordan Danks to Class AAA Charlotte
CHICAGO – Following today’s game vs. Oakland, the Chicago White Sox optioned outfielder Jordan Danks to Class AAA Charlotte.
Danks, 26, is batting .265 (13-49) with one home run and three RBI in 29 games with the White Sox this season. He hit his first major-league home run on Friday vs. Oakland, a game-ending solo shot in the ninth inning to give the Sox a 4-3 victory.
Danks joined Dave Gallagher (May 15, 1988 vs. Toronto) as the only players in franchise history whose first major-league homer was a walkoff shot (Elias).
The White Sox will make a corresponding roster move prior to tomorrow night’s game at Toronto.
