Worth noting

• Don Kelly had his left wrist taped up before batting practice Wednesday morning, but he was listed on the travel squad for Thursday night's game against the Braves. His return to the Tigers roster mix appears to be imminent after injuring his wrist on a slide last Saturday.

• Ramon Santiago said he went through full batting practice Wednesday without trouble in his strained right calf. The Tigers do not have a timetable for his return, but he is hoping he could be available for play within the next few days.

• Leyland said outfielder Quintin Berry should be close to a return. He was not on the travel roster for Thursday.
