Worth noting

• Garrett Richards is available in the Angels bullpen on Tuesday. Richards left Sunday's game after rolling his left ankle.

• Left-handed reliever Sean Burnett is close to throwing a bullpen session. Since Burnett has only missed a week, it appears a rehab assignment won't be necessary.

• The Angels had three prospects earn recognition for their May performances. Right-hander Cam Bedrosian, outfielder Zach Borenstein and outfielder Randal Grichuk were named Minor League Pitcher, Player and Defender of the Month, respectively.

Bedrosian, ranked the club's No. 20 prospect, posted a 1.80 ERA with a .193 BAA, Borenstein hit .356 with a 1.085 OPS and Grichuk, who is organization's No. 7 prospect, was credited with 46 putouts and a .980 fielding percentage.

• Peter Bourjos was 1-for-4 with a home run as the designated hitter in his rehab assignment with Class-A Inland Empire on Tuesday. Bourjos is slated to play center field for Inland Empire on Wednesday. Scioscia also wants Bourjos to play with Triple-A Salt Lake before he returns to the Angels.
