Worth noting

• Right-hander Mike Adams has not decided if he will have season-ending shoulder surgery, according to the Phillies.

• Right-hander Roy Halladay will see Dodgers physician Neal ElAttrache on Thursday in Los Angeles. ElAttrache performed Halladay's shoulder surgery in May.

• Howard went 0-for-4 in Tuesday's victory over San Diego, but he also walked and scored a run.

June has been kind to Howard. He is hitting .338 (25-for-74) with seven doubles, two triples, three home runs, 15 RBIs, 12 walks, 24 strikeouts and a 1.037 OPS in 22 games.

"Yeah, he's being more patient," Manuel said. "He's been trying to put the fat part of the bat on the ball."
