Worth noting

• Dick Gray, who hit the first home run in Los Angeles Dodgers history, died Monday. He was 81.

Gray homered April 16, 1958 against the Giants at San Francisco's Seal Stadium and also hit the first Los Angeles Dodgers home run at home on Apr. 18 against the Giants.

The third baseman was traded by the Dodgers in 1959 to St. Louis for Chuck Essegian and Lloyd Merritt.
