Worth noting

• Colby Lewis said he is aiming for 60-65 pitches in his next medical rehabilitation assignment for Double-A Frisco on Monday. He said his arm felt "really good" after a bullpen session on Friday. Next Saturday will mark one year since Lewis underwent surgery to repair a torn flexor tendon.

• Pitcher Luis Parra, who was 3-1 with a 1.16 ERA in five starts at Class A Hickory in June, was named the Rangers' Minor League Player of the Month for June. Hickory infielder Ryan Rua, who hit .298 with 10 home runs and 23 RBIs, was the Player of the Month for June. Ben Rowen was the Reliever of the Month and Double-A outfielder Ryan Strausborger was the Defender of the Month in the long-delayed awards.

• Derek Holland has pitched at least eight innings in four starts this season. He has a 1.36 ERA in those games, but the Rangers have only won two of them.
