Worth noting

• Entering Tuesday, Mariners starters went 7-0 during the club's seven-game win streak with a 1.71 ERA. It is the third time in franchise history that the starters won seven consecutive games, one shy of the club record.

• Seattle had at least one home run in 16 consecutive games at Safeco Field entering Tuesday's game against the Indians. The previous club record was 11.

• The Mariners have been successful when playing their rookies. With Brad Miller as the starting shortstop, Seattle is 12-3, and the club is 23-10 with Nick Franklin at second base. In addition, the Mariners are 16-10 with Mike Zunino as the catcher coming into Tuesday's clash.
