Worth noting

• The Cubs announced Sunday they will shuffle the order of the starting rotation when they begin their upcoming six-game road trip. Edwin Jackson is slated to start in the series opener against the Phillies on Tuesday. Travis Wood and Jeff Samardzija are scheduled to follow in that series. Chris Rusin is scheduled to open the series against the Cardinals on Friday, followed by Carlos Villanueva on Saturday.

"We just keep Woody and Samardzija on their day and split those lefties up," said Sveum.

• Going into Sunday's series finale with the Dodgers, the Cubs were one of just three Major League teams to have more road wins (26) than home wins (23) on the season. The other two were the Mets (27 road, 22 home) and the Royals (28 road, 27 home).
