Worth noting

Wilson Ramos was left out of the Nationals' lineup for a second day Thursday after tweaking his left hamstring Tuesday night, but the catcher said he felt better Thursday than he did the day before. Johnson told Ramos he would return to the lineup Friday in Atlanta.

"[Nationals bench coach] Randy Knorr said he was good today," Johnson said Thursday, "but for me, I wanted to see him get a couple of days running around out there before I put him back in there. So I plan on him being in the lineup tomorrow."

• Ross Ohlendorf will make his second Minor League rehab start Friday and is on track to return to the Nationals in time to replace Taylor Jordan in the rotation. Jordan will make one of his last starts of the season Friday before being shut down as a precaution after 2011 Tommy John surgery.
