Worth noting

Chris Snyder got the start at catcher on Saturday. Showalter often likes to rest Matt Wieters when there's a day game after a night contest, and this is Snyder's first action since June 2.

Snyder threw out a would-be basestealer in the eighth inning, but was pinch-hit for by Wieters in the eighth. Good thing for the Orioles, as Wieters hit the game-winning two-run single in the 10th.

Chris Davis has 48 homers this year and 81 over the last two seasons. That ties Rafael Palmeiro's club record for most homers over a two-year period. Palmeiro did it in 1997-98.

• The Orioles have been consistent on offense lately. Entering Saturday, 17 of their last 18 runs had come via the home run. The Orioles hit six homers in the first two games of this series -- all solo shots -- as they've beat Chicago both times.

Roberts hit a solo home run on Saturday.
