Worth noting

• Infielder Justin Turner participated in hitting and baserunning drills Tuesday, after which Collins proclaimed him fit for regular duty. Turner has not played since straining his right hamstring on Sept. 10.

David Wright started a second consecutive game at third base Tuesday, his fourth start in five days since returning from the disabled list. Collins tentatively plans to rest Wright in Wednesday's finale, before playing him in each of the Mets' final four games at Citi Field.

• The Mets have not decided whether Jon Niese will make one final start Sunday at Citi Field, or finish his season Wednesday in Cincinnati. The Mets are debating caution with Niese, considering the two months he missed earlier this year with a partially torn left rotator cuff. They will reexamine his shoulder after the season.

• The Mets on Tuesday released a limited supply of standing room only tickets for Mike Piazza's Mets Hall of Fame induction this Sunday at Citi Field. The standing room tickets cost $20 and are on sale now at mets.com. Piazza's induction will take place prior to Sunday's 1:10 p.m. ET game between the Mets and Brewers.
