• Right-hander Doug Fister and left-hander Jerry Blevins will make their Nationals debut against the Marlins on Sunday. Fister will start the game and will likely pitch two innings. Blevins will pitch in the middle of the game and probably pitch an inning.

• On Friday afternoon, a SWAT team shot and killed a man who had a gun outside the Moore Justice Center, which is not too far from Space Coast Stadium, according to Florida Today. All Nationals personnel were unharmed and accounted for.

"The building [Space Coast Stadium] is secure. Everyone inside is safe. Players are on the field or in the clubhouse," a Nationals spokeswoman said. "We are monitoring the situation."
