Worth noting

• The Rockies reassigned right-handers Christian Bergman and Scott Oberg, catcher Ryan Casteel and infielder Angelys Nina to Minor League camp on Saturday. They now have 60 players on the Major League Spring Training roster, including 20 non-roster players.

• First baseman Michael Cuddyer returned to the lineup on Saturday, three days after getting hit in the left shoulder by Cubs right-hander Jeff Samardzija. He went 1-for-3 and played four innings at first base.

• Right-hander Christian Friedrich, the club's first-round pick in the 2008 Draft, threw two innings on Saturday. He was touched for two runs on four hits, but struck out three and impressed manager Walt Weiss.

"We feel good about the fact that he's healthy," Weiss said of Friedrich, who appeared in only four Minor League games last year because of a back injury. "He had some traffic out there but pitched through it. He wanted another inning but we're trying to ease him along."
