Worth noting

• The Dodgers held a meeting Sunday morning with Joe Garagiola Jr., Major League Baseball's senior vice president of on-field operations, and umpire supervisor Ed Montague. Mattingly said the most discussed issue was the new rule against blocking the plate.

"It's still confusing," Mattingly said. "They asked us to send the tape of last night's play [Dee Gordon tagged out by Seattle catcher Humberto Quintero]. To me it was black and white, what the catcher did was illegal. They thought the path [of the runner] was OK. It is a work in progress."
