Worth noting

• Hamels threw a bullpen session on Monday morning at Bright House Field as he continues to work his way back from inflammation in his left shoulder. Last week, Hamels said he would need two bullpen sessions before pitching in a game. He previously threw live batting practice on Saturday.

• The Phillies have a decision looming with non-roster infielder Ronny Cedeno. If Cedeno is not added to the roster by Tuesday, he can ask for his release, or the Phillies must pay him $100,000 to go to the Minors.

• Infielder Kevin Frandsen, who was outrighted to Triple-A on Sunday, did not travel with the Phillies to Monday's game. Frandsen has until Wednesday night to accept the assignment to the Minor Leagues, or he can elect to become a free agent and relinquish his 2014 salary of $900,000.

Amaro said Sunday that Frandsen still has an opportunity to earn a bench role with the Phillies in the final week of Spring Training, provided he chooses to remain with the organization.
