Worth noting

• During Monday's 5-3 loss to the Cardinals, Reds catcher Brayan Pena made an odd decision to steal second base with Carlos Martinez pitching and Gold Glover Yadier Molina catching. Pena was easily thrown out by Molina.

It appears that Pena misread a sign from the dugout.

"He felt like he got the sign to go so we had a little bit of confusion there," manager Bryan Price said. "We had a pitcher that was quick to the plate. We had a catcher, we know, obviously that Yadi throws really well. We weren't running there."
