Worth noting

• Machado was scheduled to be off in his rehab Sunday, and he will play seven innings at third base on Monday before serving as designated hitter in an extended spring game on Tuesday. He could be eligible to start a rehab assignment after that, although Showalter said a lot of that will be based off how Machado feels after playing nine innings.

Troy Patton will join Norfolk on Tuesday and stay there for his entire rehab assignment. His 25-game suspension ends on April 30, meaning the Orioles have to activate him off the restricted list by then.

Delmon Young was held hitless on Saturday, snapping a 14-game hitting streak out of the Orioles' designated hitter spot.
