Worth noting

• D-backs first baseman Paul Goldschmidt set the club record for hits in the month of March/April with 40. The previous leader was Orlando Hudson with 37 in 2007.

• Class A Advanced Visalia third baseman Brandon Drury and Double-A Mobile right-hander Chase Anderson were named the organization's Player and Pitcher of the Month for April.

Drury hit .296 with 10 doubles, six homers and 25 RBIs.

Anderson was 3-2 with a 0.85 ERA in five starts.

• Arizona Minor League affiliates went a combined 61-45 (.575) in April tying for the most wins in all of baseball.

• Class A South Bend right-hander Aaron Blair struck out 43 in April, tied for second-most in the Minors.

• The D-backs Race Against Cancer will be held Saturday morning at Chase Field.
