Worth noting

• Some of the Reds' personnel were a bit taken aback when the first statistics posted from injured closer Aroldis Chapman's rehab start Saturday for Class A Dayton showed he had pitched three innings vs. Lake County. In fact, Chapman had thrown only one.

"I wondered what had happened," Cincinnati manager Bryan Price said. "I thought maybe Aroldis had talked [Dayton pitching coach] Tony Fossas into letting him throw another inning or two."

• Price said injured third baseman Jack Hannahan (shoulder) has been hitting off a tee and may begin taking live batting practice in another four or five days.

"He's in a much better place than he was when we left Goodyear," Price said.
