• Bochy said on Sunday that left-hander David Huff is still experiencing tightness in his left quadriceps and will need more recovery time before he can come off the disabled list. Huff's outlook appeared bright after he pitched three scoreless innings in a rehab start for Triple-A Fresno last Thursday.

• The Giants have not lost a season series to the Dodgers since 2009, when they posted a 7-11 record against their archrival. Since then they have finished 10-8 (2010 and 2012), 9-9 (2011) and 11-8 (2013).

• Highlights of the upcoming homestand, which features a three-game series against Atlanta (Monday through Wednesday) and a four-game set against Miami (Thursday through Sunday), include Filipino Heritage Night on Monday; an appearance by former Giants pitcher Masanori Murakami, the Major Leagues' first Japanese-born player, during Japanese Heritage Night on Thursday; and giveaways of Tim Lincecum and Buster Posey T-shirts on Friday and Sunday, respectively.
