Worth noting
• Dillon Gee, who is nursing a strained right lat, was unable to throw a bullpen on Sunday. There is no set timetable for his return, so rookies Rafael Montero and Jacob deGrom appear to be in the rotation indefinitely.
"We'll back him off a little bit," Alderson said.
• d'Arnaud went 1-for-3 and caught five innings in the first game of his rehab assignment with Double-A Binghamton on Sunday. After grounding out to second in the first inning, d'Arnaud homered on a fly ball to left field in the third and flied out to right field in the fifth. d'Arnaud has been out since May 13 with a concussion.
