• As part of a two-day celebration of the 25th anniversary of the A's 1989 World Series team, Dave Stewart threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Coliseum on Saturday.

Stewart was named the World Series MVP after winning two of the four games against the Bay Bridge-rival Giants.
