Youth served: Harper faces younger pitcher

Bryce Harper has finally met his match -- at least in years.

For the first time in his four-year career on Wednesday, the Nationals All-Star faced off against a pitcher his own age or younger. That was Yankees reliever Jacob Lindgren, who is 22 years and 90 days old (Harper is 22 years and 237 days old).

And Lindgren got him out.

Harper appeared in 414 games and logged more than 1,700 plate appearances before coming up against a pitcher his own age.

The Nats' star flew out to left field in his eighth-inning at-bat against Lindgren, who was selected by the Yankees in the second Round of the 2014 Draft out of Mississippi State. Wednesday was Lindgren's sixth Major League appearance.
