Hunter Harkins Barco...Is a 2020 graduate of the Bolles School in Jacksonville, Fla., where he went 5-0 with a 1.84 ERA and 67 strikeouts in 38 IP as a senior...Also hit .355 with 14 RBI...Went 17-5 with a 3.18 ERA (152.2 IP/54 ER), 189 strikeouts and .213 batting average against in 30 games (29 starts) during his career at the University of Florida...Was named the No. 1 pitcher in college baseball by D1Baseball on 3/30/22 while going 5-2 with a 2.50 ERA (50.1 IP/14 ER) and 69 strikeouts in nine starts before undergoing “Tommy John” surgery in May...Was ranked No. 75 on the Top 250 draft prospects list by MLB Pipeline...Was named a 2020 freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball...Was a member of the 2021 SEC All-Newcomer team and was on the roster for the 2021 USA Baseball Collegiate national team...Was signed by Pirates scout Cam Murphy.
