In 2021, when most Canadian leagues were shut down during COVID and difficult travel protocols, he transferred to play at Georgia Premier Academy in Statesboro (Ga.), his senior year in order to be seen by scouts, while completing online work from Newmarket H.S. in Ontario...Committed to play at Florida State University before being drafted by the Rangers in 2021.
