Arjun Nimmala has been in Double-A for less than a week, but it seems like he's already comfortable at his new level.
The Blue Jays' No. 3 prospect -- and MLB No. 64 -- recorded four hits and scored twice for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in their 15-13 win over Portland at Delta Dental Park on Friday. He pounded out an opposite-field single through the right side in three of his first five at-bats before driving an RBI double to left-center field in the ninth inning.
The four hits matched Nimmala's single-game career high as a pro, and he is now batting .368 (7-for-19) in his first four games with the Fisher Cats.

A first-round Draft pick in 2023, Nimmala's Minor League career has featured its fair share of ups and downs. He's just a .231 career hitter in the Minors, but he's done good work to shave his strikeout rate, which was north of 30% in 2024 before falling to 21.4% last year. His K rate is at 23.2% through 27 games split between High-A and Double-A.
The 20-year-old has yet to homer with New Hampshire, but after posting four home runs in 23 games prior to his May 3 promotion and tallying 45 extra-base hits across 120 games in 2025, Nimmala's 60-grade power has shown up consistently throughout his career.
Perhaps Nimmala's first Double-A dinger will come this afternoon, when he and the Fisher Cats face Portland at 1 p.m. ET. You can watch that game for free here.
