Munetaka Murakami, White Sox
Murakami was placed on the 10-day IL on May 30 with a Grade 2 right hamstring strain and is expected to miss four to six weeks.
Roman Anthony, Garrett Crochet, Patrick Sandoval and Garrett Whitlock, Red Sox
Interim manager Chad Tracy said on May 29 that Anthony (right wrist sprain) was being shut down again after experiencing soreness while taking tee swings on May 28.
Crochet (left shoulder inflammation) threw one inning of live batting practice on May 26, the first time he faced hitters since being placed on the IL. Crochet will throw multiple innings against hitters on June 2.
Sandoval (left biceps discomfort) was scheduled for a second side session on May 30 and if all goes well could progress to a bullpen session afterward.
Whitlock was placed on the injured list on May 28 with left knee inflammation. The club is hopeful he will return as soon as he is eligible.
Hunter Greene, Graham Ashcraft and Rhett Lowder, Reds
Greene (right elbow surgery) was encouraged after completing his first bullpen session on May 26, throwing 15 to 20 pitches without complications. He threw a second bullpen session on May 29 and has a third slated for June 1.
Ashcraft (right UCL sprain) was placed on the 60-day IL on May 29.
Lowder (right shoulder pain) threw 45 pitches in a simulated game on May 27. The hope is that he will have a rehab start with Triple-A Louisville on June 2.
Jorge Polanco, Francisco Alvarez, Kodai Senga, and Luis Robert Jr., Mets
Polanco (left Achilles bursitis) began a rehab assignment on May 27 with Double-A Binghamton and could return to the big league club the first week of June.
Alvarez (meniscus tear) could begin a Minor League rehab assignment the week of June 1. He is progressing more rapidly than expected.
Senga (lumbar spine inflammation) has made two rehab starts as of May 29, but will need to show better results before the Mets consider activating him.
Robert (lumbar spine disc herniation) was progressing better as of a May 29 update, but his timeline will remain fluid until symptoms subside.
Konnor Griffin and Ryan O'Hearn, Pirates
Griffin (low-grade flexor muscle strain) was back in the lineup as the designated hitter on May 29. But he is not yet cleared to throw and will be reassessed the week of June 1.
O'Hearn (right quad strain) could return as soon as May 31.
Teoscar Hernández, Kiké Hernández and Jack Dreyer, Dodgers
Teoscar Hernández left the Dodgers' May 27 game with a left hamstring strain and was placed on the injured list on May 29.
Kiké Hernández left the Dodgers' May 26 game before the fifth inning due to a left oblique strain and was placed on the injured list the following day.
Dreyer (left shoulder discomfort) threw live batting practice on May 29, potentially his last step before being activated.
Cal Raleigh, Mariners
Raleigh (right oblique strain) swung a bat for the first time on May 29, taking 15 swings off a tee from each side of the plate. He will return to Seattle on May 30 to determine whether his recovery process will continue in Seattle or Arizona.
Dylan Cease, Alejandro Kirk and Max Scherzer, Blue Jays
Cease (mild left hamstring strain) threw a 25-30 pitch bullpen session on May 30.
Kirk (left thumb fracture) took batting practice on the field on May 29 and could begin rehab games soon.
Scherzer (forearm tendinitis) is expected to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Buffalo on May 31.
Tarik Skubal, Casey Mize, Kenley Jansen, Justin Verlander, Kerry Carpenter, Gleyber Torres, Javier Báez and Brant Hurter, Tigers
Skubal threw a bullpen session on May 29 and will follow with a simulated game on June 1.
Mize was removed from his May 27 start against the Angels after four innings with right groin tightness. He was placed on the IL on May 29 with right adductor inflammation.
Jansen also left his May 27 outing early and was placed on the 15-day IL the following day with pelvic inflammation.
Verlander (left hip inflammation) was scheduled for a bullpen session on May 30.
Carpenter (left shoulder sprain) took four at-bats against Verlander during live BP on May 27. He could begin a rehab assignment over the weekend.
Torres (left oblique strain) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo on May 30.
Báez (right ankle sprain) will visit a specialist for further evaluation on his ankle, which has not progressed as well as he hoped, on June 1.
Hurter was placed on the IL on May 24 with lumbar spine inflammation. He was transferred to the 60-day IL on May 29.
Luis Severino, Athletics
Severino left his May 29 start against the Yankees after one inning with right arm soreness. He was scheduled for further testing on May 30.
Wyatt Langford, Corey Seager and Evan Carter, Rangers
Langford (Grade 1 right flexor strain) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Round Rock on May 30.
Seager (back inflammation/spasms) took live BP on May 30 in addition to fielding and running.
Carter was set to undergo further testing as a precaution after being hit by a pitch on his left foot on May 29.
Eury Pérez, Marlins
Pérez (right gracilis strain) was placed on the 15-day IL on May 29 and will take eight weeks to recover.
Josh Hader, Hunter Brown, Jose Altuve and Cristian Javier, Astros
Hader (left biceps tendinitis) threw 22 pitches in an outing on May 28 to finish his rehab at Triple-A Sugar Land. He was expected to join the Astros after that.
Brown (Grade 2 right shoulder strain) threw 44 pitches over three innings with Triple-A Sugar Land on May 29.
Altuve (Grade 2 left oblique strain) is expected to progress to facing live pitching "in the next few days" per a May 30 update.
Javier (Grade 2 right shoulder strain) threw live batting practice on May 29; his next step will be a rehab start.
Brandon Woodruff, Quinn Priester and Jared Koenig, Brewers
Woodruff (right shoulder inflammation) is set to throw 60 pitches in a live batting practice session during the week of June 1.
Priester (thoracic outlet syndrome) has had his rehab transferred to the Brewers' Arizona facility after giving up 24 runs in 10 innings of work across six previous rehab starts with High-A Wisconsin and Triple-A Nashville.
Koenig (left UCL sprain) began what is expected to be a multi-outing rehab assignment on May 29 with Triple-A Nashville.
Carlos Estévez, Matt Strahm, Kris Bubic and Cole Ragans, Royals
Estévez (right rotator cuff strain) began playing catch again on May 27.
Strahm (right knee inflammation) threw live BP on May 27 at Kauffman Stadium. He will throw another bullpen session on May 29 and is on track to come off IL when eligible on May 31.
Bubic (left elbow soreness) has begun his throwing progression, but he is still dealing with general arm fatigue.
Ragans (left elbow impingement) was shut down for two to three days as he "did not recover well" following his rehab start on May 23, per manager Matt Quatraro.
Edward Cabrera, Matthew Boyd and Matt Shaw, Cubs
Cabrera (right middle-finger blister) will throw an extended bullpen session on May 31.
Boyd (left meniscus injury) simulated multiple innings off a mound on May 22 and May 26. He is expected to make two Minor League rehab starts, the first on May 31 with Triple-A Iowa.
Shaw (back tightness) is expected to start a Minor League rehab assignment with Triple-A Iowa on June 2.
Giancarlo Stanton and Jasson Domínguez, Yankees
Stanton (right calf strain) has been hitting and performing plyometric exercises. He received positive imaging results during the week of May 25 and has been given the go-ahead to begin running outside.
Domínguez (left shoulder AC joint sprain) has progressed to hitting off a tee and could potentially begin a rehab assignment in the first week of June.
Nolan Schanuel, Angels
Schanuel, who was placed on the injured list on May 27 with left calf inflammation, was diagnosed with left ankle tendinitis on May 28 after undergoing an MRI.
Germán Márquez, Padres
Márquez (right forearm nerve irritation) is expected to progress to a Minor League rehab assignment after facing hitters in a live BP on May 28.
Edwin Uceta, Rays
Uceta underwent a PRP injection after suffering a setback while rehabbing a right shoulder impingement. The new injury is subscapularis strain. Manager Kevin Cash said on May 29 that it is "going to be a while."
