ST. PETERSBURG -- The Rays reached the World Series in 2020 largely due to their roster versatility and unrelenting depth, but during the regular season, Tampa Bay was led by stars and , and both were honored on Wednesday on MLB Network by being selected to the All-MLB Teams.

As was the case in 2019, the All-MLB Team was split into a First and Second Team, each with one catcher, first baseman, second baseman, third baseman, shortstop and designated hitter, plus three outfielders, five starting pitchers and two relievers.

The teams were selected with a 50% of the vote coming from fans and the other 50% coming from a panel of experts. Fans were able to vote once every 24 hours until 2 p.m. on Nov. 13.

Anderson, who posted a 0.55 ERA and recorded six saves in 19 regular-season appearances for the Rays, was voted as a First-Team All-MLB member with Oakland's Liam Hendriks. Anderson struck out 26 in 16 1/3 innings and didn’t allow an earned run until Sept. 16 against the Nationals. Though this is just the second installment of the All-MLB Teams, Anderson, the top horse in “The Stable," became the first Rays player to be voted to the First Team.

Lowe, who led the Rays in nearly every offensive category last season, was named to the All-MLB Second Team, further proving that he’s one of the best second basemen in the Majors. Yankees second baseman DJ LeMahieu was voted to the First Team ahead of Lowe.

In his first two full seasons, Lowe hit 31 home runs with 88 RBIs and an .876 OPS. During that span, Lowe has been an All-Star, finished third in the American League Rookie of the Year Award voting in 2019, and finished eighth in AL MVP Award voting in '20.

Lowe best displayed his offensive potential in mid-August, winning his first AL Player of the Week Award after hitting .448 in seven games with a 1.000 slugging percentage. He hit four home runs in four consecutive games, becoming the first Rays player with a home run streak that long since Evan Longoria in 2016. Lowe is the second Rays player to be named to an All-MLB team, joining former starter Charlie Morton.
