Red Sox to honor local educators at Fenway Park with Most Valuable Educator Award

May 3rd, 2021

BOSTON, MA – In recognition of Teacher Appreciation Week, the Red Sox will be honoring local educators, and presenting them with Most Valuable Educator Award throughout the season in pregame ceremonies before every Saturday home game at Fenway Park.

Students, parents, and school administrators will have the opportunity to nominate educators, including teachers, coaches, and guidance counselors, by submitting a brief (400 words or less) email describing why their educator deserves to be honored. Submissions can be sent to [email protected] and should include contact information for the nominated educator.

Winners will be selected by the Red Sox Community Relations Department. Each honoree will receive a pair of tickets and a personalized Red Sox jersey. Students, parents, and administrators who submit winning nominations will also receive a pair of tickets to the game.

The Red Sox launched the Most Valuable Educator Award in 2006 in order to commemorate the positive impact educators have had in their community.
