TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Angels announced the details for their new television network on Monday, and it will still be called FanDuel Sports Network West, with the first broadcast coming on March 22 against the Dodgers.
The Angels will own and operate the network after buying out Main Street Sports’ portion, and it will be broadcast on the same channels as before on cable and satellite. Additionally, play-by-play announcer Wayne Randazzo, color analyst Mark Gubicza and reporter/host Erica Weston will remain the on-air talent for the games. The Angels decided to create the network rather than partner with Major League Baseball, which now produces 14 of the league’s 30 clubs’ broadcasts.
It was important for the organization to keep the agreements with the previous carriers to ensure fans wouldn’t lose access to watching the games. The new channel, which will air all regular-season games in 2026 excluding national broadcasts, is also set to feature expanded pregame and postgame coverage and exclusive team-focused content. The NHL’s Los Angeles Kings will also have their games broadcast on the network for the rest of this season and next year, including the first round of the playoffs if Los Angeles qualifies.
“Bringing this regional sports network under our umbrella allows us to strengthen fan access to both teams,” said Angels president John Carpino, who is set to be replaced by Molly Jolly on April 6. “This opportunity provides a seamless transition for viewers while continuing to offer the same high-quality broadcasts they have come to expect.”
Angels fans will have several viewing options, including cable and satellite subscribers having an easy transition with their channels staying the same on DirecTV (692), Spectrum (320) and Cox (Orange County, 64).
The Angels also announced their new streaming platform with MLB via Angels.TV on Feb. 10. It allows fans to stream in-market regular-season games with no blackouts (subject to national exclusivities) for $99.99 for the season or $19.99 per month. Out-of-market fans can still watch the club via MLB.TV for $149.99 for the season, while in-market fans can also combine MLB.TV and Angels.TV for $199.99 for the season.
The Angels will also have select games broadcast over-the-air, but details will be announced at a later date. They will also be on several national broadcasts during the season with games on ESPN, Apple TV, FS1 and NBC’s Peacock. Some of those national games have already been announced, including games on Peacock against the Royals (April 26), Rangers (May 24), Athletics (June 28), Red Sox (July 5) and Brewers (Aug. 2), and on FS1 against the Marlins on Aug. 8. Other national broadcasts will be announced at later dates, but every non-national game will air on FDSN West.
It’ll also be the fourth year in the booth for Randazzo and the 20th for Gubicza, who is the longest-tenured color analyst in franchise history. It’ll be the fifth season as in-game reporter for Weston, who will also rotate between pregame and postgame duty. Angels legends Tim Salmon and Garret Anderson will also return to make regular appearances on the show.
