Rockies release 2013 Spring Training schedule

The Rockies on Friday released their 33-game 2013 Spring Training schedule that opens Feb. 23-24 with a home-and-home series against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in Scottsdale.

The final exhibition game of the Spring will be against the Seattle Mariners at a location to be determined.

The schedule features 16 home games, including a March 6 exhibition against Team USA, which will be competing in the World Baseball Classic. That will be a 7:10 p.m. MT start, the first of five night games the Rockies will host.

The other night games are March 8 vs. Kansas City, March 18 vs. Cincinnati, March 23 vs. San Diego and March 25 vs. Cleveland. The Rockies will play two night games on the road, March 15 at the Cincinnati Reds and March 26 at the Los Angeles Dodgers, both starting at 7:05 p.m. MT.

There are four scheduled days off and one split-squad date, March 22, when the Rockies host the Giants and travel to play the Rangers. The final home game is March 28 against Milwaukee, in a preview of the April 1 regular-season opener at Miller Park.

Individual game tickets for all games at Salt River Fields will go on sale beginning at 10 a.m. MT on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013. Tickets can be purchased at the Salt River Fields at Talking Stick center field ticket office, the Coors Field Ticket Office, all Dugout Store locations, online at coloradorockies.com or by calling 888-490-0383 or 480-362-WINS (9467).

Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian community members and D-backs and Rockies season ticket holders may purchase season ticket plans for Spring Training games at Salt River Fields exclusively between Dec. 17-19. Season ticket plans for the Rockies' 16 home games at Salt River Fields and all 33 Cactus League games at Salt River Fields featuring the D-backs and Rockies will go on sale to the public beginning Dec. 20.
