May 28th, 2022

WASHINGTON -- The Nationals’ Friday night game against the Rockies was postponed because of severe weather predicted in the area around Nationals Park.

It was rescheduled as the first game of a split doubleheader at 12:05 p.m. on Saturday. Saturday’s originally-scheduled 4:05 p.m. game will be played at 6:05 p.m.

Aaron Sanchez, who was slated to start on Friday, will take the mound for Game 1. Joan Adon will make his scheduled Saturday start in Game 2.

Tickets and parking passes from Friday’s game will be honored for Game 1 on Saturday.

The Nationals are 2-0 in doubleheaders this season with a pair of wins against the D-backs on April 19.
