2021 Opening Day & Opening Weekend

The Rockies’ 29th Home Opener on Thursday, April 1 welcomes first fans back to Coors Field since 2019

DENVER – The Colorado Rockies will celebrate Opening Day at Coors Field on Thursday, April 1 vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers, with first pitch at 2:10 p.m. preceded by pregame ceremonies. In accordance with state and city safety regulations, a capacity of 21,000 fans will be permitted to attend each of the games in the opening homestand (vs. LAD, April 1-4, and vs. ARI, April 6-8). The Colorado Rockies are following current CDC protocols and have worked with state and local government officials and Major League Baseball to ensure Coors Field is a safe environment for fans, players and staff. Fans will be required to adhere to all ballpark policies, including health and safety policies, and posted instructions while in the ballpark and on ballpark grounds. The State of Colorado variance granted to have fans at Coors Field along with MLB policy mandates that fans and staff wear facial coverings at all times, unless they are actively eating or drinking. All tickets will be digital through the mobile Ballpark App, seating will be in pods throughout the ballpark, concessions will be cashless and standing room areas will not be available for gathering. Gates for Opening Day will open at 12:30 p.m., with pregame ceremonies beginning at 1:30 p.m. and first pitch at 2:10 p.m. It is still advisable to arrive early to avoid crowding at the gates. In addition, fans should enter the gate shown on their ticket. Fans entering the gates on Opening Day, as well as for the games on Friday and Saturday, will receive a 2021 Colorado Rockies Magnet Schedule courtesy of Arrow Electronics.

Coors Field parking lots (starting at $18 every game day, and $17 in advance; information at Rockies.com/parking) are conveniently located outside the right-field Gate A entrance (with access at Wazee & Park Ave., or 33rd & Blake St.) and shuttle service (allow for limited capacity due to safety protocols) is available within the lots to and from the Gate A entrance. On Opening Day, Coors Field parking lots open at 11:30 a.m. and all entry gates open at 12:30 p.m.

There will be fireworks presentations during the national anthem, when the Rockies take the field and during the 7th-inning stretch.

11:15 a.m. - Rockies Batting Practice

11:30 a.m. - Coors Field parking lots open

12:20 p.m. - Dodgers Batting Practice

12:30 p.m. - All gates open

1:30 p.m. - Pregame Ceremonies begin

The Rockies’ home opener against the Dodgers will be televised locally on AT&T SportsNet and nationally on ESPN. The Rockies’ radio broadcast is on KOA NewsRadio 850 AM and 94.1 FM, as well as in Spanish on KNRV 1150 AM.

Fans can save money over individual ticket prices by purchasing Rockies Ticket Plans. Opening Weekend at Coors Field vs. the Dodgers continues with a 6:40 p.m. start on Friday, April 2, a 6:10 p.m. start on Saturday, April 3, and a 1:10 p.m. start on Sunday, April 4. Also currently on sale are tickets for the series vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks, April 6-8. Ticket on-sales are TBD for the second homestand (vs. New York Mets, Houston Astros and Philadelphia Phillies, April 16-25).
