The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have placed infielder/outfielder Chris Owings on the 10-day injured list with a left thumb sprain and have selected the contract of infielder Alan Trejo from the alternate training site. Additionally, the Rockies have designated left-handed pitcher Phillip Diehl for assignment. Trejo will wear #13.
