About Stadium Tours

Take a behind the scenes look at Kauffman Stadium! A tour of this “Crown Jewel” of ballparks will take you to areas not normally open to the public.*

In addition to the above stops, the All-Star Tour visits:

The MVP Tour visits all locations on the All-Star Tour, plus:

  • Broadcast Press Level
  • UMB Dugout Suites
  • View Level
  • Additional points of interest in the ballpark

MVP Tour guests will also receive a Kauffman Stadium collector’s pin. All tour guests receive a 10% discount at the Royals Team Store (valid on day of tour only). The team store is scheduled to be open Wednesday to Saturday in the offseason.

All areas are subject to availability depending on the activities occurring within the ballpark during scheduled tour times.* *All tours are wheelchair accessible, please let us know in advance.*

Classic Tour (Offered during season, approximately 75 minutes)
All-Star Tour (Approximately 90 minutes)
MVP Tour (Approximately 2 hours)

Prices vary at peak times. Please check the buy tickets screen for prices. Ages five and under are free on the Classic, All-Star or MVP tour.

Pregame Tours
Kauffman Stadium Pregame Tours

Pregame Tours offer the opportunity to see Kauffman Stadium in working action prior to a game. Visit the Diamond Club, View Level, Writing Press, Craft and Draft, Hall of Fame, Outfield Experience and then watch batting practice from the seating bowl (visitor’s side). All stops are subject to availability. Game times subject to change.

  • Fans must have a game ticket and will stay in the ballpark after the tour and prior to game time (unless a second game ticket is presented for entry.)
  • All pregame tour guests must stay with the tour group until the gates are open for general entry.
  • Fans parking a vehicle at the Truman Sports Complex must have a parking pass for the pregame tour. One parking pass covers the pregame tour and the game.
  • There are no refunds for Pregame Tours if neither club takes batting practice.
  • Pregame tours follow the game ticket policy for children (fans 32 inches in height and under do not require a ticket).
  • Promotional items: On select game days with “giveaway” items, fans on the pregame tour will receive the promotional item upon entering the stadium. Please see the promotional calendar for a full list of giveaways.

Pregame Tours start at 3:45 for a 7:10 game, 3:15 for a 6:40 game, 2:45 for a 6:10 game and 11:45 for a 3:10 game. A limited number of Pregame Tour tickets are available.

Group Tours
Kauffman Stadium Tours

Approximately 75 minutes

Group tours are available on non-game days only. Reservations must be made seven (7) days in advance.

*Tour stops may include:

Group Tour (includes 20 Tour Tickets): $200. Additional tickets: $10. Minimum charge of $200.

School/Summer Camp/Non-Profit Group Tour (includes 20 Tour Tickets): $160. Additional tickets: $8

Youth Sports Teams: $160 (includes 20 Tour Tickets): $160. Additional tickets: $8

A $40 deposit is required to confirm the group tour reservation.

Bag Policy

Guests on tours must follow the bag policy* below:

Allowed

  • Clear bag no larger than 12” x 12” x 6” with all items inside easily visible
  • Small clutch bags that do not exceed 9" x 5", with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options.

Prohibited

  • Backpacks
  • Luggage

*Exceptions may be made for medical and diaper bags. On non-gamedays, backpack and luggage storage is available for tour guests.
