What is an NFT?

Is it a game ticket?

In short, no. An NFT isn’t a ticket or proof of admission. It will serve as a safe, unique collectible item that you can show off to your friends and family.

Do I use it for something in the stadium?

No. Just as an NFT does not function as a game ticket, it will not be used to purchase or access anything in Kauffman Stadium.

So, what do I do with it?

Just like a piece of art you might like to display, you can enjoy looking at it, showing it off, or just relishing that you’re the proud owner of a unique Royals item.

How do I claim mine?

When a Royals NFT is released, you’ll receive a redemption email sent to the account associated with your MLB ticketing account that will direct you to a checkout page at www.candy.com/mlb.

*Be sure to scan your ticket using the official MLB Ballpark app to ensure you can receive your NFT.

Where does it live?

An NFT “lives” inside of your digital wallet. It’s safe, encrypted, and totally yours.

How do I set up a wallet? Where?

Setting up a digital wallet is as easy as downloading an app on your phone. A digital wallet is no different from your physical wallet, except that it exists online. Does an NFT cost me anything?

An officially licensed MLB or Royals NFT will not cost you anything. NFTs on other marketplaces may cost money, but rest assured, you will not be charged.

Can I send it to someone?

Yes. If you want to give your NFT to a family member or friend, all you need to do is forward the redemption email to that person who will then be able to click the link to claim the NFT.

Can I re-sell it?

Yes. If you would like to re-sell the Royals NFT, you can.

Where can I sell it?

This NFT is only available for re-sale via the Candy marketplace at mlb.candy.com/marketplace.

How do I sell it?

Once claiming your NFT within Candy, you can re-sell your NFT through Candy. No external digital wallet is needed—you will be able list your NFT directly on the Candy marketplace.

What is the deadline to claim?

NFT redemption ends 30 days after the redemption email is sent. The Fan Appreciation NFT must be claimed by 10/26/22.

Is this program optional?

Yes. You do not have to participate in this program.

Who created the art?

The internal Creative/Product team at Candy designed the NFT.
