October 5 is a pretty special day in our world.

It was the first time the World Series was broadcast over the radio. It's the birthday of both Kate Winslet and Jesse Eisenberg. It's National Get Funky Day. And ever since 2017, it is a day that Astros third baseman Alex Bregman will hit a home run.

Yes, after Bregman's homer against the Athletics in the Astros' 10-5 win at Dodger Stadium on Monday in Game 1 of the American League Division Series, he's now homered four straight years on Oct. 5.

Maybe it's some way the sun and moon are aligned? Maybe Bregman really wants to impress Jesse Eisenberg? Either way, when you're watching the Astros in the playoffs with friends in 2021, remember this factoid. You can call his shot and look like a genius.
