Series champs open Spring Training Feb. 14
Astros' first full-squad workout set for Feb. 19
HOUSTON -- In the days following the World Series win over the Dodgers, Astros All-Star second baseman Jose Altuve said he "literally" loves teammate Justin Verlander. Verlander later said he loved Altuve just as much. With so much love in the air, it's only fitting the Astros are set to reunite on Valentine's Day.
The 2017 World Series champions will start Spring Training on Feb. 14, when pitchers and catchers work out for the first time at The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, Fla. The full squad is set to work out for the first time Feb. 19. The Astros will open Grapefruit League play Feb. 23 against the Nationals (the Astros will be the home team).
