The Mariners signed Colt Emerson (SEA No. 1/MLB No. 7) to an eight-year, $95 million extension in late March, clearly defining his place in the club's future plans. Until then, though, he’s doing his thing at Triple-A. Considered one of the top pure hitting prospects in the game, Emerson serves as a focal point in Tacoma’s lineup. He has shuffled between third base and shortstop this season as he preps for the bigs. Headlining the Dodgers’ affiliate is one of the Minors’ hottest hitters -- James Tibbs III (LAD No. 10). The 2025 first-rounder entered the week with an MiLB-leading nine homers, nearly halfway to his total of 20 big flies in 2025. Earlier this month, Tibbs tallied the Minors’ first three-homer game of 2026.
