CF Brett Bateman
Injury: Right hip discomfort
Expected return: Day to day
Status: Jammed right knee in grass sliding for a ball on Sept. 21 in Baltimore and injured his hip. X-rays were negative and an MRI didn't show any further damage, so it's still possible he plays during the final series at home. (updated Sept. 23) More >>

Injury: Left shoulder labral surgery
IL date: March 25 (retroactive to March 22; transferred to 60-day IL on April 5)
Expected return: Potentially by end of season
Status: Played through to the end of Triple-A Buffalo's season on Sept. 20, will continue to rehab. (updated: Sept. 21)
RHP Shane Bieber
Injury: Right teres major inflammation
IL date: Aug. 24 (15-day IL, retroactive to Aug. 21)
Expected return: Out for season, but expected to have normal offseason
Status: Threw a side session on Sept. 19 in Texas and will continue to build up. (updated: Sept. 21)
OF Rudy Martin Jr.
Injury: Left hamstring strain
IL date: Sept. 14 (10-day IL, retroactive to Sept. 13)
Expected return: Out for season, but expected to have normal offseason
Status: Tweaked hamstring running and reinjured it in pregame workouts the next day. Currently being evaluated further. (updated Sept. 15)

Expected return: Out for season

Injury: Right quad strain
IL date: Aug. 7 (10-day IL)
Expected return: Potentially by end of season
Status: Had a setback with quad injury prior to rehab game and is now on pause. (updated: Sept. 4)
RHP Yimi García
Injury: Thoracic outlet syndrome
IL date: March 25 (retroactive to March 22; transferred to 60-day IL on April 25)
Expected return: 2027
Status: Had been shut down indefinitely after experiencing neck nerve issues during a rehab outing with Single-A Dunedin on July 25 and was diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome. No decision had been made regarding surgery. (updated: Aug. 25)
RHP Jake Bloss
Injury: Teres major strain
IL date: Aug. 12 (60-day IL)
Expected return: 2027 season
Status: In a move to protect 40-man roster depth, Bloss was added to the Major League roster on Aug. 12 to allow for him to be placed on the 60-day IL. There has not been a setback or change in his status. (updated: Aug. 12)
