Blue Jays fans, can we beat the record of 826,308 Loonie Dogs purchased in 2025?
On April 7, 1977, on a snow-covered field at Exhibition Stadium, the Toronto Blue Jays made their MLB debut. Five decades later, the Blue Jays return to Rogers Centre as reigning American League Champions and get set to host a season-long celebration honouring the club’s 50th season.
As part of this celebration, fans are invited to a special Loonie Dogs Night on Tuesday, April 7! In tribute to the team's first-ever game in 1977, the Blue Jays will offer an exclusive, one-night-only promotion for $0.77 hot dogs. Don't miss your chance to be part of this historic moment!
The first 15,000 fans upon entry will also receive a special Blue Jays Commemorative Ticket. This double-sided keepsake features a replica ticket from the Blue Jays' inaugural 1977 game, paired with a commemorative ticket marking the 50th season in 2026.
Where will you be as we honour this historical day in Blue Jays history?
