The new arrangement gives fans the option to watch on television or stream digitally without local blackouts, subject to national exclusivities!

Why can I no longer watch D-backs baseball on Bally Sports Arizona?

Major League Baseball will take over production and distribution of all Arizona D-backs games starting on July 18, due to Bally Sports Arizona failing to perform under its contract with the D-backs.

Which cable, satellite, and streaming providers carry D-backs games in the Arizona market? Can I watch if I have YouTube TV or Sling?

In-market fans can watch on Cox, DIRECTV, DIRECTV STREAM, Fubo, Mediacom, Orbitel, Optimum/Suddenlink, Spectrum/Charter, TDS, Xfinity/Comcast and MLB.TV. YouTube TV, Hulu, and Sling do not offer D-backs games at this time but we continue working on expanding access.

Why did my channel numbers change for D-backs baseball?

Channel numbers have been updated due to a change in distribution from Bally Sports Arizona to MLB.

What will the programming look like on these new channels?

When you visit these new channels, there will not be programming or content until close to game time. Some sites may have a message that there is no program prior to the game, viewers are advised to stay on the channel until the game starts – at that point broadcasting will begin when the game broadcast begins.

As a cable/satellite subscriber, will I be able to watch D-backs games on an app?

The D-backs primary TV broadcasters – Steve Berthiaume and Bob Brenly – will continue to serve in their existing roles.

Are these changes permanent, or is there a chance that D-backs baseball could be made available on Bally Sports Arizona later this season?

These changes will remain in place for the foreseeable future.

Will I be able to view D-backs games through these same service providers and MLB.TV next season?

We do not anticipate any changes to existing service providers for the 2024 season and will provide updates with potential additions prior to the start of the 2024 season.

How do I watch the D-backs on MLB.TV in Arizona?

Can MLB.TV All Teams Subscribers Watch D-backs games on MLB.TV in the Arizona area?

Only users that have specifically purchased the 2023 Single Team D-backs Package subscription will be able to stream D-backs games in the Arizona area. MLB.TV All Teams subscribers will not have access and will need to purchase the Single Team D-backs Package in addition to the All Teams Package in order to stream D-backs games on MLB.TV in Arizona.

If I’m a D-backs Advantage Member with MLB.TV, what does this mean for me?

D-backs Advantage Members receive a free MLB.TV All Teams Subscription as a membership benefit. However, only users that specifically purchase the 2023 Single Team D-backs Package subscription will be able to stream D-backs games in Arizona. Members need to add-on this package. Members should not enable their free MLB.TV All Teams subscription to watch D-backs home games. Instead, they should subscribe to the new Single Team D-backs package.

MLB.TV Blackout Policy

By offering a direct-to-consumer streaming option on MLB.TV in the Club’s territory for the first time, MLB is able to lift the blackout for D-backs games previously distributed on Bally Sports Arizona. Due to certain Major League Baseball national exclusivities, select regular season, special event, and Postseason games are unavailable on MLB.TV domestically and internationally. Live audio of the games that are unavailable is available to customers within ā€œAt Bat,ā€ which is included with all MLB.TV subscriptions.
