Braves challenge, get call overturned to save run

ATLANTA -- The Braves won their fourth challenge in four tries as umpires overturned a safe call at third base on an infield RBI single by Yadier Molina in the top of the sixth on Monday night at Turner Field.

Third-base umpire Todd Tichenor ruled that Peter Bourjos beat Chris Johnson to the bag at third on a potential forceout prompting Atlanta manager Fredi Gonzalez to exit the dugout to challenge. Thirty-seven seconds later, the call was overturned.

Molina hit a liner off Aaron Harang's right ankle, and Johnson fielded the deflection. He attempted to step backward onto third base as Bourjos was sliding into the bag.

When Tichenor initially ruled Bourjos safe, the Cardinals took a 5-0 lead as Jhonny Peralta scored on the play. However, the run was taken away as a result of the replay.
