Call stands on Donaldson's triple after replay

CLEVELAND -- Oakland's Josh Donaldson got ahold of Bryan Shaw's first pitch in the seventh inning, and he belted the ball near the top of the wall in left-center field, and Donaldson trotted into third with a two-run triple.

A's manager Bob Melvin came on the field to discuss the call, and crew chief Jerry Layne initiated a review to determine whether the hit was actually a home run.

Although Melvin did come on the field, he did not initiate the challenge. After a review of approximately three minutes and 10 seconds, the call stood.
