DYK? Cool facts from LA-NY Game 3 slugfest
The Mets' offense came to life against the Dodgers as New York seized a 2-1 lead in the National League Division Series with a 13-7 win on Monday night at Citi Field.
Here are a few notes on what went down in Queens:

• Yasmani Grandal was for 4 for his last 88 dating back to Aug. 9 before he ripped a two-run single into right field to get the Dodgers on the board in the second inning.
• Curtis Granderson hit just .183 against lefties in the regular season while striking out in 38.1 percent of his plate appearances. None of those stats mattered in the second inning when Granderson launched a three-run double off the wall in center field to give the Mets a 4-3 lead, nor when he had a two-run double off lefty J.P. Howell in the seventh.
Granderson's five RBIs tied a Mets record for RBIs in a postseason game.
• The Mets' bats were clutch on Monday as nine of their 13 runs came with two outs in the inning.
• Yoenis Cespedes hit a home run for the second straight game. Before his home run in Game 2, Cespedes hadn't hit a home run since Sept. 14. He's the first Met to hit a home run in consecutive playoff games since John Olerud in 1999.

• Tough night for Brett Anderson. For the Dodgers starting pitcher, this was his second-shortest start of the season and the third time this year he's allowed at least six runs.
• New York had 13 runs on 13 hits in its offensive explosion in Game 3. The Mets had five runs on 10 hits in the first two games of this series combined.

• This was the first playoff game at Citi Field and the first home playoff game for the Mets since 2006. With the win, the Mets are now 7-0 in NLDS games played at home.
• Bartolo Colon made his second relief appearance of the series, and it was just the fourth time he came out of the bullpen in his 18-year career. Colon struck out the side in the sixth inning and became the second-oldest player to strike out the side in a postseason game.

• Adrian Gonzalez hit a solo home run in the seventh inning, giving him an RBI in all three games of this series, the only player on either team to achieve the feat.
• The two teams combined for four home runs in the game, which made for 21 dingers combined in the four postseason games across the league on Monday. It's the most homers hit in one day in Major League postseason history.

• The 13 runs are the most the Mets have scored in a playoff game in franchise history; the previous high was 12 runs set in Game 4 of the 2006 NLCS. It's also a Dodgers record for most runs allowed in a postseason game.
• Mets starting pitcher Matt Harvey earned the win by allowing three runs, two earned, in five innings. He's 25-5 as a starter when getting at least three runs of support.
